Ministry Center Activities
This is the ideal location for our congregation, The Road to Emmaus, to meet for services on Saturday evenings and for prayer meeting on Tuesday evenings and for Shabbat meals on Friday evenings. It is a local congregation reaching out to the community with a truly Bible first and foundational approach. In the spirit of Ephesians, the congregation will prayerfully always be comprised of both Jews and Gentiles worshiping the Messiah together on a weekly basis. As the center looks less like a “church” and more like an Acts 2 meeting house it is more suitable for Jewish and Arab people coming to hear the Word about the Messiah.
The facility is available for those Jewish people who are coming home to the Land as new immigrants. We help them while working on their Aliyah process and during their transition to moving to the Land.
It is also instrumental in the development of the IDF Soldier Ministry. Many soldiers are asking questions and seeking answers to life’s challenges. This location is perfect to host Shabbat meals and other events for soldiers and others who are interested to hear more about the Messiah.
The site is also used for small group training, discipleship, and Bible studies for those in the land and abroad. It could potentially grow into a small training center with specific training in things Jewish and about the land of Israel, especially concerning connection and outreach to the Jewish people.
We would also like to see the center as hub for our practical/ humanitarian ministry in Jerusalem. We currently work with other humanitarian organizations in Israel. It is our hope to create a platform where interns, guests, and those from our congregation can not only see the land but also work in practical ways to help people in need.
In the future we hope to see the creation and development of the Road to Emmaus intern program. Interns will be able to serve and live with Israeli based workers in Jerusalem.
Also, in the future, we envision it may also be used similar to a halfway house for new Jewish believers. When a Jewish person comes to faith in Messiah many will lose their family and community support. Many don’t have basic work skills and will need assistance, and this could be a small step to help them in their new walk with Messiah.
