Our Story
I, Scott, was born to a nominally traditional Jewish family. I grew up in a traditional Jewish home until my father’s death when I was 8. Between the ages of 8 and 15 I had very little exposure to the Bible or faith, but God had His hand on me and was drawing me to Himself with many piercing questions about life and its purpose. After my friend presented to me the gospel when I was 15, I realized my sinful state and the need for a Savior. By God’s grace, I was led to faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob through His Son Jesus the Messiah and immediately got baptized and became part of a small Bible based Baptist congregation. Upon my profession of faith, I had much in the way of persecution from all sides of my family and friends for my faith. Realizing the Bible declared persecution would be a normal part of a life following God I desired to commit my life fully to Him and not to look back.
Beth was raised in a committed Christian home where her dad is a pastor of an independent Baptist church. She often heard of the gospel and realized she was a sinner and needed to be right with God. She came to realize her need for a Savior at the young age of 6 and repented of her sins. She was baptized at the age of 12. She faithfully served with her family in ministry until we got married at the age of 23. Beth always had a heart for hospitality in serving others. She realized her call was to be a wife and mother to assist her husband and raise her children for the glory of God.
We got married after I graduated from college with a major in Economics & Business and a minor in Bible. I was initially led to be a tent maker in business where business was my primary calling and ministry my secondary one. I had many life changing experiences through business and ministry. God led us through many triumphs and challenges to prepare us for the ministry. I was able to use my calling in business to gain skills and experience that would become invaluable to our ministry today. We used our time in business to be the senders and helpers for others in ministries around the world. I obtained my commercial pilot’s license and was able to use the skill of flying and business to work with many other ministries. During our “tent making years” I was also able to serve on many ministry boards and in our local congregations as a deacon and then an elder. We felt God was leading us to work with a ministry board that worked in Papua New Guinea which led us to Hawaii where God stopped us to serve there and wait on Him for six years. I ended up doing business consulting and serving in the leadership at our sending church until God finally called us to be the “goers” and come home to Israel and work with my Jewish brethren.
Upon learning of the great need to get the truth of the gospel to the Jewish people we sought for ways God would use us in this endeavor. We learned that we could make citizenship to Israel and come home to the Holy Land to live, work and minister among my people. Our church confirmed the call of God on our lives and I was ordained, and we were commissioned to go. I was able to use my Jewish lineage for me and my family to make Aliyah (right of return) and become citizens of Israel in March of 2016 with the specific purpose of bringing the gospel to our Jewish brethren (Romans 10:1) and Gentiles in Israel. We certainly saw God’s hand in paving a smooth way in the normally tedious process of Aliyah as an encouragement and confirmation.
God has blessed us in many ways to be able to live our lives for Him in a calling only He could give. We have 7 Children ranging from ages 28 to 12. We also have four grandchildren. Four of our seven children live and serve with us here in Jerusalem.
Our Burden
Romans 10:1 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.”
Like Paul…
Our desire is to bring the gospel to the Jewish people, see them come to faith, and shepherd them through the Scriptures in the Body of Messiah, the Kehila.
